Current recruitment is focused on:
- Face-to-Face Interpreters
- Telephone Interpreters
- Video Interpreters
- Translators
Please be aware that this is a self-employed role.
The Role:
As an interpreter, your responsibilities will include:
- Interpreting for clients accessing legal, health, and local government services.
- Ensuring non-English speakers comprehend the content after each statement.
- Providing conference, consecutive, and public service interpretation.
- Handling highly confidential information with discretion.
- Acting as a liaison between service users and providers.
Qualifications:
- Fluency in English and at least one other language.
- Applicants must possess the right to work in the UK.
- Minimum age of 21 years.
- Preferred qualifications include:
- Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI)
- Community Interpreting certification
- Membership in NRPSI, CIOL, or ITI is advantageous.
- A degree in Translation, Interpreting, or Languages.
- Any additional interpreting-related qualifications.
