Role Overview
Each project presents distinct tasks, and contributors may be involved in the following activities:
- Crafting complex physics problems that mirror professional practices;
- Assessing AI solutions for accuracy, underlying assumptions, and constraints;
- Validating calculations or simulations using Python libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, and SciPy;
- Refining AI reasoning to conform with industry-standard logic;
- Implementing structured scoring criteria for multi-step problems.
Candidate Profile
This opportunity is ideal for physicists with Python expertise who are interested in part-time, non-permanent projects. Preferred qualifications include:
- A degree in Physics or a related field, such as Engineering Physics, Thermodynamics, Statistical Mechanics, or Optics and Acoustics;
- A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in physics;
- Proficient written English (C1/C2 level);
- Advanced Python skills for numerical validation;
- A reliable internet connection.
Professional certifications (e.g., CPhys, EurPhys, MInstP) and experience with international or applied projects are considered advantageous.

Project Time Commitment
Tasks are estimated to require approximately 10–20 hours per week during active project phases, depending on specific project requirements. This is an estimate and not a guaranteed workload.
Compensation
- Compensated contributions with rates up to $14/hour*
- Payment may be based on a fixed project rate or individual rates, depending on project specifics;
- Some projects may offer incentive payments.
*Note: Compensation rates may vary based on expertise, skill assessments, location, project needs, and other variables. Higher rates are generally reserved for specialized experts. Lower rates might apply during onboarding or in non-core project phases. Payment details will be provided per project.
