As a Server at Denny's, you will be the face of our restaurant, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. You will greet and seat customers, skillfully take and deliver their orders, and ensure complete satisfaction throughout their dining experience. Your ability to address concerns promptly and courteously will contribute to our commitment to excellent service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests warmly and guide them to their tables.
- Take and deliver orders accurately while suggesting menu items to enhance the dining experience.
- Ensure timely service by adhering to our service cycle standards.
- Assist with special needs and maintain proper seating rotation.
- Prepare beverages and assist with food preparation for appetizers, salads, and desserts.
- Check all orders for accuracy and presentation before serving.
- Maintain cleanliness in the dining area and assist with table resetting after guests depart.
- Handle cash and credit transactions securely and accurately.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service and guest satisfaction.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 lbs.
- Capacity to raise trays weighing up to 25 lbs. to shoulder height.
- Ability to stand and move throughout a shift lasting 4-8 hours.
- Must have good hearing to respond to guests and team members effectively.
