Position: Front Desk Coordinator
Status: Full-time; Hourly, Non-exempt
Compensation: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour, based on experience (including specialty, clinic volume, and front office experience)
Key Responsibilities:

- Welcome and check-in patients with a courteous and professional demeanor.
- Verify and update patient information, including insurance details, address, and phone number, in the practice management system.
- Provide and review new patient and annual update forms for accuracy and completeness.
- Scan and upload completed forms and insurance cards into the practice management system within 24 hours of patient visits.
- Authenticate patient identity by requesting and scanning government-issued photo I.D.
- Determine co-payment amounts and collect payments prior to service; manage outstanding balances and bad debt.
- Address inquiries regarding patient accounts and clinic services.
- Assist in preparing patient charts, including flowsheets and medical record retrieval.
- Facilitate patient check-out, schedule follow-up appointments, and scan completed flowsheets.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, maintaining confidentiality and following release protocols.
- Assist the call center with incoming calls, routing them to appropriate personnel as needed.
