Your Role
As we experience exponential growth in demand, we are seeking a Frontend Technical Leader to establish our Next.js + TypeScript architecture. This role is critical in defining best practice patterns encompassing state management, data fetching, error handling, accessibility, and testing. You will create frameworks such as lint rules, CI checks, and Storybook documentation that empower every engineer to deliver high-quality code efficiently.
The impact of your decisions will be profound, influencing how our engineering team develops features and how countless clinicians utilize Mandolin reliably in their daily operations.
Your Responsibilities
Define and document the front-end architecture (Next.js + TypeScript): including coding standards, folder structure, and CI protocols.
Implement best-practice methodologies—governance of design systems, linting/formatting rules, Storybook processes, and PR review protocols.
Enhance quality and reliability: by integrating Sentry for monitoring, establishing performance budgets, and conducting automated regression tests.
Guide junior engineers through mentorship, pair programming, code reviews, and collaborative technical planning sessions.
Architect for scalability: develop and sustain a multi-tenant Next.js application that adheres to enterprise-level security, accessibility, and performance standards.
Work closely with product, design, and backend teams to craft a unified, clinician-friendly user interface.
Essential Qualifications
5+ years of professional web development experience with a strong proficiency in TypeScript.
Experience leading the architecture of at least one enterprise-level, multi-tenant Next.js application in a production environment.
Proven track record in defining and implementing frontend best practices in a collaborative setting.
