Join our team as a Full-Time Client Office Phlebotomist in Chicago, working 40 hours per week at our client site located in the vibrant Streeterville neighborhood.
Prior experience in OBGYN is highly desirable.
Work schedule includes Monday and Tuesday from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, and Wednesday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

As a dedicated Phlebotomist, you will provide exceptional phlebotomy services, demonstrating outstanding customer service and communication skills. You will work collaboratively within a high-performing team focused on prioritizing patient care.
Your responsibilities will include venipuncture collection and specimen processing, along with order entry in various systems, verification of test results, retrieval of patient information, and performing lab reception and clerical duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct phlebotomy and lab specimen collections adhering to age-related standards in accordance with departmental protocols.
- Implement the AIDET communication model to enhance patient safety and minimize healthcare errors.
- Review and process physician orders, ensuring accuracy in lab test orders according to departmental guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with patients, providing necessary post-phlebotomy care.
- Timely processing of specimens, including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, and packaging for transport following established protocols.
- Monitor and document refrigerator temperatures and quality control records, addressing any concerns through the Corrective Action Log.
- Understand the operation and maintenance of relevant equipment, following up on outstanding orders and communicating results as needed.
- Report any issues related to specimen procurement to the Laboratory and/or Physician to ensure optimal patient care.
- Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to biohazard waste procedures and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
