As a vital member of our hotel team, the Doorperson/Valet will report directly to the Guest Service Manager and play an essential role in delivering outstanding service. Key responsibilities include:
- Welcoming guests with a warm smile at the entrance, assisting them with parking upon their arrival and departure.
- Promoting valet parking as the exclusive hotel parking option while guiding guests to public parking alternatives when requested.
- Providing exceptional service to ensure guest satisfaction throughout their stay, from check-in to check-out.
- Ensuring all vehicle keys are properly identified and stored securely.
- Clearly communicating parking fees and the benefits of using the valet service.
- Maintaining clear and unobstructed entrance areas for smooth vehicle arrivals and departures.
- Conducting a thorough inspection of guest vehicles prior to garage entry, noting any pre-existing damage on the valet ticket.
- Responding to guest inquiries regarding hotel facilities, transportation options, and local attractions.
- Assisting with the retrieval of items from stored vehicles and providing miscellaneous services as requested.
- Participating in fire alarm procedures as outlined in the hotel’s safety manual.
- Monitoring safety and security, reporting any suspicious activity to the appropriate supervisor.
- Adhering strictly to Fairmont Service Standard Expectations related to valet parking.
- Observing and reporting any maintenance needs or cleanliness concerns during routine duties.
- Possessing the ability to operate all vehicle types, including manual and automatic transmissions.
