Join Northwestern Medicine as a Full-Time Endoscopy Registered Nurse on Day Shift, where you will play a crucial role in patient care. This position requires on-call availability with a 30-minute call back time, scheduling one day per week and one weekend every six weeks.

Key Responsibilities:
- Care Coordination
- Conduct comprehensive assessments on assigned patients, documenting findings accurately.
- Promptly communicate changes in patients' conditions.
- Utilize appropriate nursing diagnoses to establish realistic outcomes, documenting measurable goals on care plans and adjusting as necessary.
- Identify and prioritize patient needs, collaborating with patients, families, and the healthcare team throughout the care planning process.
- Evaluate patient responses to nursing interventions and revise care plans as needed.
- Ensure complete discharge instructions and medication reconciliation are provided, along with relevant information about the patient portal and other resources.
- Patient Education, Ethics, and Diversity
- Address the cultural, spiritual, and educational needs of patients and families, documenting education effectively.
- Employ teach-back methods to enhance patient understanding of medication and care.
- Utilize resources that promote cultural competence in care delivery.
- Maintain respect and dignity for all patients, families, and staff while recognizing the role of significant others in the care process.
- Uphold ethical standards in practice and seek ethics consultations as necessary.
- Evidence-Based Practice and Research
- Implement nursing interventions aligned with evidence-based practice as outlined in the care plan.
- Engage in ongoing learning and practice improvements based on research findings.
