Join our dedicated team as a Full-Time Inpatient Registered Nurse in the Delnor Orthopedic Oncology Med Surg Unit!
This role requires a commitment to three 12-hour shifts per week from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday) and rotating holidays. As a Registered Nurse at Northwestern Medicine, you will embody our mission, vision, and values while ensuring compliance with our Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program.
In this dynamic position, you will provide high-quality nursing care to acutely ill patients through a comprehensive nursing process that includes assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. Your professional interactions with patients, their families, and healthcare team members will adhere to ANA standards of nursing practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather and analyze patient data, identify expected outcomes, and develop an individualized care plan that you will implement and evaluate.
- Direct nursing care and effectively utilize assistants involved in patient care.
- Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and ancillary staff to create a documented care plan focused on achieving desired outcomes.
- Engage in shared governance, participate in committee work, and contribute to unit projects.
- Evaluate and document patient responses to nursing interventions, adjusting the plan of care based on these evaluations.
- Utilize current evidence and research findings to inform your clinical practice decisions.
