Key Responsibilities
- Customer Engagement:
- Exemplify friendly and approachable behavior on the sales floor.
- Prioritize selling and servicing customers; any task can be paused to assist customers.
- Forge connections with customers through suggestive selling techniques.
- Utilize technology effectively to ensure a seamless omnichannel shopping experience.
- Achieve or surpass goals for the Belk Credit Rewards program.
- Educate associates on store offerings and inventory accessible via omni resources and belk.com.
- Quickly and efficiently resolve customer service issues.
- Support Store Management in coordinating daily store operations, including merchandising new products.
- Work collaboratively to maintain visual presentation standards for a superior customer experience.
- Ensure timely setup of promotional and seasonal displays, including signage.
- Integrity in Action:
- Model adaptability in the face of change.
- Maintain a welcoming demeanor toward both associates and customers.
- Exhibit best practices in selling, merchandising, and pricing for a seamless shopping experience.
- Ensure a safe shopping and working environment by adhering to OSHA regulations.
- Open and close the store as needed, including weekends.
- Team Development:
- Demonstrate exemplary customer service behaviors and provide real-time coaching to associates.
- Encourage outstanding customer service during shifts by celebrating successes and communicating coaching needs to management.
- Train new associates using Onboarding Guides to ensure clear understanding of roles and responsibilities.
- Lead adjustments in floor presentation in anticipation of new product arrivals.
- Instruct associates on merchandising standards for product presentation.
- Oversee floor replenishment and tailor standards based on store needs.
