Your role will involve safely and efficiently delivering equipment, products, and materials to our valued customers in a timely and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate the vehicle in compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
- Transport loads safely and punctually while adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols.
- Skillfully maneuver the truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas, following the guidance of loading crew signals.
- Assist in loading and unloading goods and materials, utilizing specialized equipment as necessary, and returning empty skids to designated areas.
- Maintain accurate records, including signed invoices and shipping bills of lading; deliver documentation to the shipping office or relevant personnel upon completing delivery routes.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on trucks, including oil, water, gasoline, and air; report any maintenance issues to the Shipping Supervisor.
- Organize trailers in shipping yards for optimal loading efficiency.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Desired Skills & Qualifications
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to communicate professionally and courteously with customers and staff.
- Ability to maintain focus in a fast-paced environment.
- Possession of a valid commercial driver's license or chauffeur’s license, as required by state law for the vehicle weight to be operated.
- Successful completion of background and drug testing as mandated by federal and state regulations.
