As a CDL Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering equipment, products, and materials to customers in a timely and professional manner.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Operate vehicles in compliance with all applicable state and federal transportation laws.
- Transport loads safely and punctually, adhering to all traffic regulations and safety protocols.
- Skillfully maneuver trucks and trailers into loading and unloading zones, following crew signals.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of goods using specialized equipment as needed; ensure all equipment is returned to designated areas.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including signed invoices and shipping bills of lading, delivering them to the appropriate staff upon completing the delivery route.
- Conduct routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any issues to the Shipping Supervisor.
- Organize trailers in shipping yards to optimize loading patterns.
- Perform additional related duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to communicate professionally with clients and team members.
- Ability to maintain focus and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
- A valid commercial driver's license or chauffeur’s license appropriate for the vehicle's weight is required.
- Must pass background and drug testing as per federal regulations.
