In this role, you will be tasked with performing maintenance and repairs on a diverse range of heavy equipment and aerial lifts, giving you the chance to work with some of the newest machinery in the industry.
Primary Responsibilities
- Adhere to safe job practices while repairing equipment.
- Utilize technology, including laptops and tablets, proficiently.
- Conduct maintenance and repairs on complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems across various equipment and tools, exercising independent judgment.
- Assist in training less experienced technicians as needed.
- Maintain detailed electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in an accurate and timely fashion daily.
- Support the pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts.
- Possess knowledge of OSHA requirements (preferred).
- Field Mechanics will, when necessary, travel to customer job sites for equipment repair and maintenance, ensuring service vehicles are kept clean and professional.
- Participate in year-round company-provided OEM training.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
- Possess tools relevant to the position.
- Demonstrate advanced mechanical aptitude and familiarity with tools.
- Have extensive knowledge of construction equipment with a strong understanding of schematics and diagrams.
- Exhibit excellent customer service, teamwork, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- High School diploma or trade school certification preferred.
