The General Manager serves as the pivotal leader of the restaurant, setting the standard for the work environment and customer hospitality. This role encompasses the overall operation of the restaurant, ensuring that a robust team consistently delivers exceptional food and a welcoming experience to all customers.
Key responsibilities include recruiting, hiring, and developing employees, conducting new hire orientations, and formulating training plans tailored for each new team member. You will also manage team scheduling, address performance challenges, assist with customer issue resolutions, and oversee the restaurant's budget and financial strategies. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills, a history of successful people development, and a positive demeanor.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Promote outstanding customer service and uphold company standards.
- Ensure that Crew Members and Shift Supervisors fulfill all assigned tasks and serve safe, high-quality food in a friendly manner.
- Continuously analyze sales, labor, inventory, and controllable expenses, implementing corrective actions to achieve margin and sales growth targets.
- Lead a team of associates in a fast-paced setting while ensuring adherence to all food safety protocols.
- Manage the restaurant's budget and financial plans effectively.
- Engage in clear and consistent communication with field leadership and restaurant staff regularly.
- Build a high-performing team through effective training and development, providing meaningful and timely performance feedback.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and sanitation standards, including overseeing the receipt of shipments and proper ingredient storage.
- Conduct periodic health, safety, and security audits, initiating corrective actions as necessary.
- Ensure that facilities and equipment are maintained according to Taco Bell standards.
- Adhere to proper opening and closing procedures.
- Maintain the safety of guests and employees.
