You will assist colleagues, decision-makers, and partners in understanding their environment better and making informed decisions, with geo-information being an essential key.
Your Role as a GIS Specialist at OMWB
Everything OMWB does can be traced back to a location on the map. As a GIS Specialist, you will contribute to the development of the new GIS platform and the GIS/GEO team. You will serve as a content advisor, technical expert, and connector between data, systems, and users across various environmental domains.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and managing the GIS platform and geo-information services.
- Providing advice on the application of GIS in areas such as soil, water, air, waste, nature, spatial planning, and external safety.
- Coordinating GIS/GEO projects and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
- Improving processes for data management, analysis, and visualization.
- Identifying and translating technological and national GIS/GEO developments into practical applications.
Team
As a GIS Specialist, you will be part of the information provision team, which consists of over 20 colleagues working on innovative data and information products, a safe and modern digital workplace, reliable core data, management of our VTH case system, and efficient digital staff (RPA). We work hard and always support each other.
