As a Global Project Buyer, you will be an integral part of our Global Procurement team within Pon.Bike. This international team is responsible for sourcing frames and components for renowned brands such as Gazelle, Santa Cruz, Cannondale, and of course, Urban Arrow.
In your role as Global Project Buyer, you will be the vital link between our global procurement strategy and the physical development of our bicycles. You will collaborate within a dynamic, international team and seamlessly engage with stakeholders from Product Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, and Quality Management.
Your Role
This position places you at the forefront of our latest models. You will manage the procurement side of challenging development projects, ensuring that every component is available at the right time for our prototypes to be built. A crucial aspect of your success will be the establishment and maintenance of supplier and component data, directly supporting the production of our bikes in Amsterdam and Lithuania.
You will work closely with colleagues from the Netherlands, Lithuania, Germany, the United States, and Asia. In collaboration with our Category Managers, you will also handle the sending out, coordinating, and negotiating of RFQs. Being part of the Global Procurement Team will grant you deep insight into the global purchasing landscape of Pon.Bike, while your focus will be on project realization, administrative processes, and data integrity and optimization. Additionally, you will collaborate with an international team on process optimization to enhance our efficiency.
Your time will be divided between project procurement (approx. 60%) and operational tasks (approx. 40%):

You translate the project scope into a concrete procurement strategy, ensuring alignment with our global category plans.
You manage the sample order process, ensuring R&D has the right components for testing and that prototype bikes can be built.
