Summary
Terran Orbital is actively seeking a skilled GNC Engineering Manager to join our innovative team. Reporting directly to the Sr. Director of Platform & Mission Engineering, the GNC Engineering Manager will collaborate with a dedicated group to develop groundbreaking small satellite vehicle solutions for various projects.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead a team of engineers, ensuring they have defined objectives, sufficient resources, and support to achieve project milestones.
- Direct the design, development, and integration of GNC systems, ensuring compliance with specifications and standards.
- Plan and oversee GNC projects, including schedule, budget, and resource management in cooperation with peer organizations and project management.
- Facilitate troubleshooting efforts related to GNC systems, applying advanced problem-solving and technical expertise.
- Coordinate with departments, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure project alignment and objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and innovation in GNC development and maintenance.
- Provide technical input and support for proposal efforts.
- Assist in mission operations and anomaly resolution.
- Prepare and deliver formal and informal reports to upper management weekly.
- Conduct evaluations of documentation for program milestone reviews and offer technical mentorship and peer review for colleagues.
- Perform any additional assigned duties.
