As a Full-time Chef de Partie, you will be pivotal in maintaining the highest standards of consistency, quality, and excellence within our kitchen operations. Collaborating closely with the Executive Chef and Sous Chefs, you will oversee your designated section, leading your team with pride and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Executive Chef and Sous Chefs in managing daily kitchen operations
- Own your section, ensuring exceptional food preparation, presentation, and service
- Adhere to rigorous food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards
- Lead junior kitchen staff, modeling professionalism and a positive attitude
- Effectively delegate tasks to meet service demands
- Coordinate menu preparations and ensure the availability of supplies
- Communicate with Restaurant Ambassadors and Management regarding menu items and special requests
- Ensure high food quality throughout all stages of preparation and presentation
- Creatively prepare menu items while adhering to cost margins
- Implement strict stock control measures to minimize waste
- Comply with food health and hygiene regulations during food storage and handling
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work area and equipment
- Monitor food and product needs and communicate them to senior kitchen leadership proactively
- Contribute to the training and development of junior kitchen team members.
This is a Full-Time position (40 hours per week); candidates must possess full New Zealand working rights.
