About Us:
We are a pioneering mentorship marketplace, linking consumer brand founders with an elite network of over 500 top operators, founders, and executives within the Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) and retail sectors. Our mentors have successfully launched some of the fastest-growing brands in the industry, while our mentees are gearing up to create the next big success stories.
Having achieved millions in revenue over five years solely through organic word-of-mouth and community engagement—without relying on paid marketing or a dedicated growth team—this is an exciting opportunity for our first marketing hire. This means there are abundant opportunities for growth and you will have genuine ownership from the outset.
Role Overview:
As the Growth & Lifecycle Marketer, you will take charge of the entire customer journey—from the moment a user signs up to when they become a loyal buyer and advocate for our brand. You will also serve as the glue within our community, encouraging mentors and mentees to share their narratives and stay engaged.
This is a hands-on role focused heavily on execution. You will not be managing a team or drafting briefs; instead, you will be directly involved with our tools, developing sequences, running experiments, and delivering results on a weekly basis.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lifecycle & Activation (Primary Focus)
- Oversee the customer journey from signup to first session to repeat purchases
- Develop, test, and enhance every email sequence throughout the sales funnel
- Conduct A/B tests on a weekly basis
- Identify and address drop-off points in the customer journey
- Monitor and analyze activation rates, time-to-value, retention metrics, and customer lifetime value (LTV)
2. Community & Content
- Engage with mentors and mentees to highlight compelling stories
- Curate and author a weekly newsletter
- Foster community connections across various channels
Your role is not limited to sending emails; you will be nurturing relationships that make our marketplace more engaging.
3. Analytics & Experimentation
- Develop and manage a growth dashboard
- Provide weekly reports to the CEO
- Deliver actionable insights to inform strategic decisions
- Identify gaps in the customer journey and design experiments to address them
Revenue Accountability
All your efforts will contribute to revenue growth. We will establish clear targets together—including activation rates, session volumes, retention rates, and GMV growth—and you will have the autonomy to devise strategies to achieve these goals. While lifecycle marketing will be your primary focus, there is potential for involvement in acquisition strategies as well.
Who You Are:
- 3–5+ years of experience in growth marketing, lifecycle marketing, or retention marketing
- Proficient in email marketing and automation tools
- Strong analytical skills with a data-driven mindset
- Excellent communication skills with a passion for storytelling
