About the Role:
The Head Chef will oversee the comprehensive management of the kitchen, from crafting innovative menus to managing staff, ordering supplies, and ensuring that every dish meets our high standards of quality and presentation. This is a pivotal leadership position that demands a robust culinary background, creativity, and the ability to motivate and inspire the kitchen team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Culinary Leadership and Menu Development
- Oversee all kitchen operations to ensure outstanding food preparation and presentation.
- Collaborate with the Executive Sous Chef/Executive Chef to create innovative seasonal menus.
- Maintain consistency in taste, quality, and presentation across all dishes.
- Kitchen Operational Management
- Coordinate closely with front-of-house management to ensure seamless service and communication regarding menu items and special requests.
- Stay updated on industry trends and culinary advancements to continuously enhance menu offerings and kitchen processes.
- Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations, fostering a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Team Management and Leadership
- Recruit, train, and mentor kitchen staff, promoting a collaborative and positive workplace culture. Conduct regular performance assessments and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with the HR department on the recruitment process for new hires and traineeship programs.
