The League is seeking a strategic and dynamic Head of Analytics to lead our analytics department in San Francisco. This pivotal role involves overseeing junior analytics teams while ensuring that various departments within the business comprehend their operational health, discover growth levers, and pinpoint optimization opportunities. As the Head of Analytics, you will spearhead initiatives that enhance business performance through the utilization of existing and novel data sources and methodologies. This role requires a hands-on approach to tackle complex analytical challenges alongside Engineering, Product, and Marketing teams, often serving as the representative for both Analytics and Product Operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Development: Identify essential roles, attract talent, select candidates that align with our culture, and secure competitive hires.
- Team Management: Foster a capable and enthusiastic team aligned with high-impact projects. Support career growth for analysts and business intelligence engineers, ensuring they recognize their contributions and understand complex statistical concepts.
- Work Guidance: Direct efforts across marketing, operations, and product analytics, including LTV predictions, operational metrics, user segmentation, and AB testing best practices.
- Technology Leadership: Advocate for technological investments that position analytics as a strategic advantage, including business intelligence tools and unified customer data views.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with leadership to ensure data-driven decision-making across all business units.
