Role Overview
The Head of Legal will oversee and manage all legal, regulatory, and governance matters across COLIBRIX ONE's operations in multiple jurisdictions. This critical role ensures the company remains fully compliant with financial services regulations while providing essential legal support to various business units, product development teams, and strategic initiatives.
In collaboration with the Board of Directors, Compliance, Risk, and Corporate Governance teams, the Head of Legal will serve as a proactive legal leader, addressing complex regulatory issues, contracts, and operational legal matters while advising senior management on pivotal decisions within a dynamic fintech sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all legal and regulatory affairs across the Group's operations in the EU and UK
- Ensure adherence to relevant financial regulations, including EMI, payments law, AML/CFT, GDPR, and other regulatory frameworks
- Act as the primary legal liaison with external entities regarding all matters related to the Group
- Provide actionable legal counsel to senior management and the Board on governance and regulatory matters
- Review, negotiate, and provide guidance on commercial contracts and proposed amendments, offering practical, business-aligned advice
- Support the legal aspects of new products, payment solutions, and market entry strategies
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive legal policies, governance frameworks, and internal controls
- Identify, assess, and mitigate legal and regulatory risks associated with business operations
- Oversee relationships with external legal advisors and coordinate their support
