Your Role
Are you a proactive, systems-oriented leader who excels at the intersection of technical precision, operational excellence, and team collaboration? Do you enjoy designing and implementing quality systems that ensure products meet the highest standards of reliability, safety, and performance—without hindering innovation?
As the Head of Quality, you will spearhead Zipline’s Quality organization, leading our team of Quality Engineers and Technicians in managing the comprehensive quality lifecycle across all production lines and assemblies, including aircraft, drones, and docks. You will be responsible for the development and execution of our quality strategy, driving continuous improvement across Incoming Quality Control (IQC), End-of-Line (EOL), and Outgoing Quality Control (OQC) processes to guarantee that every Zipline product meets the performance and reliability standards requisite for global operations.
This role demands both strategic insight and hands-on operational capability. You will create scalable quality processes, mentor a high-performing team, and leverage data to drive enhancements in first pass yield (FPY), cost of poor quality (COPQ), and field reliability. As a pivotal leader in manufacturing, you will work closely with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, and Product Design to ensure quality is integrated at every phase—from supplier through to delivery.
You must be comfortable navigating an ambiguous and rapidly changing environment, balancing immediate problem-solving needs with the creation of long-term systems that will support Zipline's global expansion.
