Position Overview
We are in search of a Health Information Specialist to enhance our front desk operations and Release of Information (ROI) services at a dedicated healthcare facility. This pivotal role will involve direct interaction with patients and is essential for ensuring that medical record requests are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with all regulations.

Key Responsibilities
Key duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Acting as the primary front desk contact for patients seeking medical records or releases.
- Providing telephone support to patients, healthcare providers, and authorized requesters.
- Timely and accurate processing of Release of Information (ROI) requests.
- Managing faxing, scanning, and both incoming and outgoing medical record requests.
- Burning medical images to CDs and facilitating electronic sharing when necessary.
- Fostering client relationships through effective and professional communication.
- Assisting with administrative tasks such as data entry and email correspondence.
- Ensuring adherence to HIPAA, privacy regulations, and internal policies.
Training & Onboarding
- Comprehensive VROI training will be provided.
- On-the-job, onsite training during the initial 30 days.
