Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Health, Safety & Compliance Coordinator to enhance and oversee health, safety, and environmental programs across all CSN Collision locations. This pivotal role collaborates with Shop Managers, leadership teams, and external partners to ensure adherence to occupational health and safety regulations as well as environmental standards. The Coordinator will champion a culture of safety, facilitate training initiatives, maintain compliance documentation, and promote uniform procedures across our network.
Key Responsibilities
Health & Safety Compliance
- Assist in the development and enforcement of health and safety policies across all CSN Collision centers.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to verify compliance with relevant health and safety regulations.
- Identify potential hazards in collision repair environments, including mechanical work areas and paint booths.
- Recommend corrective measures to minimize risks and develop actionable plans for implementation.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in workplace safety and compliance.
- Ensure that all locations uphold consistent health & safety postings and boards.
- Oversee the availability and proper usage of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all sites.
- Ensure first aid kits are stocked, compliant, and maintained at each location.
- Assist with the annual review and updates of health & safety policies to align with regulatory demands.
Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC)
- Lead and coordinate JHSC activities, including meetings and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with JHSC regulations in all applicable locations.
Incident Reporting & WSIB Support
- Facilitate incident reporting and investigations for workplace injuries and near misses.
- Provide WSIB support to Shop Managers, including documentation and claims management.
- Maintain centralized records of incidents, reports, and safety performance metrics.
Training & Certification Tracking
- Oversee and track employee safety training and certification documentation.
