Join us as a Health & Wellness Manager at Equus Workforce Solutions on Treasure Island, where you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the health and well-being of our community. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting thorough medical examinations to meet all PRH requirements.
- Arranging optometrist and ophthalmologist evaluations, ensuring glasses meet ANSI standards.
- Implementing an immunization program that aligns with CDC guidelines as directed by the National Director of Job Corps.
- Providing walk-in services for routine care and facilitating an appointment system for follow-up visits.
- Conducting patient assessments, triage, and treatment, while offering emergency care including first aid, CPR, and coordinating emergency services.
- Ensuring 24-hour emergency care by establishing written arrangements with local healthcare facilities.
- Leveraging community resources for staff and student training on wellness, self-care, and treatment strategies.
- Facilitating off-center specialist referrals and managing the TEAP program to include assessment, intervention, counseling, and prevention education.
- Coordinating with the Recreation Department to ensure health compliance during sports activities.
- Overseeing the Reproductive Health Program, focusing on Pregnancy Prevention, Family Planning, and Sexual Assault Programs.
- Providing weight control counseling and support through the Weight Improvement Program.
- Managing health services for seropositive students while ensuring compliance with all PRH guidelines.
- Ensuring program compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and maintaining proper staffing levels and qualifications for health services.
- Managing medication procurement, storage, administration, and record keeping for immunizations and controlled substances.
- Implementing orientation for health services and acting as a resource for the Wellness Class and Health Occupations Program.
- Developing quality assurance programs, conducting audits, and coordinating with other departments to ensure effective healthcare delivery.
- Ensuring timely completion and submission of all Health Service Reports and managing expenditures related to Health Services.
