Join our dynamic team as a Health Worker 4, providing essential services across various locations including Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital (ZSFG), Laguna Honda Hospital (LHH), and numerous clinics, as well as the SF Unified School District (USD) and the Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing (HOM).
Shift Requirements: Flexibility is key, as shifts may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays based on the specific role.
Key Responsibilities: Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing specific health or rehabilitation programs, planning, directing, and coordinating educational, recreational, therapeutic, and work-related projects for program participants under professional guidance.
- Training and supervising lower-tier paraprofessional staff, preparing in-service training materials, and collaborating with Team Leaders on the performance of Health Workers I, II, and III.
- Engaging with local community representatives and professional agencies to promote treatment programs, fostering cooperation and support while providing community education services.
- Assisting in the planning and execution of programs, operations, research, and reports; evaluating data to recommend preventive social and health adjustment programs.
- Conducting interviews and screenings of program clients to assess general conditions, performing crisis intervention activities under professional direction, and facilitating social counseling and group therapy sessions.
- Supervising program operations in designated wards or units and supporting the program director in specialized activities.
The Health Worker 4 may also undertake additional duties as needed.
Working Conditions: Some positions involve direct interaction with homeless individuals or those with infectious diseases, as well as working in jails or psychiatric facilities. Candidates should be prepared for exposure to varying weather conditions and the possibility of heavy lifting.
