As a Health Worker 4, you will play a pivotal role in supervising, coordinating, and guiding paraprofessional staff within the Public Health Department's service programs. Under general supervision, you will be responsible for organizing and implementing in-service training for Health Workers, providing administrative oversight, and ensuring the optimal utilization of team members in your designated program. Your contributions will include delivering both direct and indirect community-oriented health services. Key responsibilities encompass:
- Overseeing specific health or rehabilitation initiatives; planning and coordinating educational, recreational, therapeutic, and work projects for program participants under professional guidance.
- Training and supervising lower-level paraprofessional personnel to enhance their skills for effective performance.
- Assisting in the development of in-service training materials and liaising with Team Leaders regarding the performance of Health Workers I, II, and III.
- Engaging with local community representatives and social agencies to promote available treatment programs and garner support.
- Delivering community education services and aiding in the planning and execution of various programs, research projects, and reports while evaluating data to propose preventive health initiatives.
- Conducting interviews and assessments for program clients to determine overall client condition.
- Implementing crisis intervention strategies under professional supervision.
- Facilitating social counseling activities and participating in group therapy sessions.
- When assigned to specialized programs, overseeing activities in designated wards or units and assisting program directors as necessary.
In addition, the Health Worker 4 may undertake other related duties as required.
