Healthcare IT Implementation Manager (Integrations & Interoperability)
Role Overview
Steer Health is on the lookout for a skilled Healthcare IT Implementation Manager to spearhead intricate, end-to-end implementations of innovative healthcare technology solutions tailored for U.S. providers, payers, and health systems. This pivotal role necessitates a profound understanding of healthcare integrations, interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR), EHR platforms, and Agile project management methodologies.
The Implementation Manager will serve as the essential liaison between client stakeholders and our internal Engineering, Product, Integration, and Support teams, overseeing client onboarding, technical integrations, go-lives, and post-implementation stabilization.
Key Responsibilities – Implementation & Delivery
- Manage comprehensive healthcare IT implementations from initial discovery to go-live and stabilization
- Own implementation plans, timelines, milestones, risks, and issue resolution
- Oversee multiple concurrent implementations, ensuring quality and timely delivery
Key Responsibilities – Integrations & Interoperability
- Supervise integrations involving EHR/EMR platforms (Epic, Cerner, Meditech, Athena, Allscripts)
- Facilitate technical discussions on HL7 v2/v3, FHIR, C-CDA, APIs, interfaces, and data mapping
- Collaborate with Engineering to validate workflows and data exchange protocols
Key Responsibilities – Client & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients
- Convert clinical and business requirements into technical implementation plans
- Conduct solution design sessions and executive communications
Key Responsibilities – Agile & Collaboration
- Operate within Agile/Scrum frameworks alongside Product, Engineering, QA, and DevOps teams
- Assist with sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release coordination
Key Responsibilities – Compliance & Go-Live
- Ensure adherence to HIPAA and HITECH regulations
- Lead UAT, cutover planning, go-live execution, and hypercare support
