The City of New York is actively seeking a dedicated and analytical individual for the position of Hiring Plan Analyst within the Department of Transportation's Office of Human Resources. This role is crucial in supporting the Hiring Plan unit by performing analytical tasks related to the management of hiring and promotions across the agency.
As a Hiring Plan Analyst, you will be responsible for reviewing and processing Personnel Request Forms (PRFs) to facilitate hiring, promotions, and transfers. You will coordinate the entry of new hire and promotional records in the NYCAPS system, ensuring compliance with submissions to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). Your role will involve training unit staff and agency-wide personnel coordinators on current NYCAPS procedures, as well as preparing detailed spreadsheets that summarize personnel actions for presentation to executive staff.
Additionally, you will serve as the primary liaison with IT&T regarding the maintenance of the Personnel Actions Information and Reporting System (PAIRS). Conducting comprehensive analyses of PRF submissions will be a key part of your responsibilities, including verifying candidate qualifications and integrating necessary information into DOT’s PAR Management System. You will also maintain confidential records, prepare reports and correspondence, and organize agency personnel records.
