Join JYSK Canada as a Home Delivery Driver, where you will be instrumental in providing timely deliveries of products to our valued customers while delivering exceptional customer service. In this dual role, you will also take on responsibilities as a Distribution Center Associate when not on the road, ensuring smooth operations within our distribution center.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough pre- and post-trip inspections of delivery vehicles, documenting findings as necessary.
- Efficiently pack and load products onto delivery trucks in compliance with company standards.
- Maintain proactive daily communication with the route dispatcher, including updates on delivery status, mileage tracking, fuel expenses, and any issues encountered during deliveries.
- Safely unload customer products to meet client expectations with no damage.
- Promptly report accidents or incidents in accordance with regulatory requirements and workplace procedures.
- Demonstrate a commitment to completing work safely, preventing injuries to oneself and others, and ensuring the protection of goods, equipment, and vehicles.
- Follow documented procedures for all warehouse processes to uphold high inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies to supervisors.
- Complete essential documentation such as pick sheets and manifests.
- Engage in a variety of physically demanding labor tasks, including loading and unloading goods manually.
- Exhibit accuracy and efficiency while executing standard distribution center processes including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, checking, and loading orders.
- Assist new team members in learning distribution center processes, such as picking, loading, and inventory management.
- Maintain proficiency in operating various warehouse equipment.
- Be proactive in accident and incident prevention.
