~ Host/Hostess at Odendael Location
Your Responsibilities
You will serve as the Host/Hostess at the Odendael location in Sint-Oedenrode, where residents with psychogeriatric care needs reside. Your day begins in the living room, preparing the table for breakfast. You will assist on the floor to ensure no resident wanders off or feels anxious. Occasionally, you will help with light care tasks. Most residents enjoy breakfast together in the living room, while some prefer to eat in their rooms or have already eaten early. You provide assistance where necessary and encourage residents to do as much for themselves as they can. After the meal, you clean up and maintain the kitchen's cleanliness. You will typically work on the same floor, but may occasionally be scheduled for another department.
Following breakfast, you will foster a pleasant atmosphere in the living room. You will pay attention to the residents' well-being and take the time to get to know them, showing genuine interest in their hobbies and favorite activities. You will initiate enjoyable group or individual activities like playing games, drawing, or going for walks. Each day will bring new experiences. Your familiarity with the residents will allow you to notice any unusual behavior, which you will discuss with care staff and document accordingly.
You will work an average of 3 to 5 mornings per week, from Monday to Sunday, with shifts ranging from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM. You will work on weekends.
What We Offer
We currently have openings for two Host/Hostesses with a work contract of 12 to 25 hours per week, depending on the department and hours are negotiable.
