The Hourly Manager serves as the Shift Leader in our restaurant, primarily dedicated to driving sales and profit through effective management of profitability, guest satisfaction, team dynamics, and operational efficiency. This role supports the Restaurant General Manager (RGM) and Assistant Manager (AM) in overseeing restaurant operations during designated shifts while focusing on achieving key performance metrics related to sales, profitability, guest service, and team performance. The Hourly Manager operates under the guidance of the RGM and plays a crucial role in leading a team of Team Members during shifts.
Summary of Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Profitability
- Adheres to all cash control and security procedures, including safe counting and cash drawer management.
- Maintains accurate inventory levels by conducting daily and weekly inventory inspections.
- Handles the receipt of inventory truck orders efficiently.
Guest Experience
- Inspires and directs Team Members to surpass guest expectations by providing fast, friendly, and accurate service in a clean environment.
Team Development
- Offers coaching and constructive feedback to Team Members to enhance their skills and improve overall restaurant performance.
Operational Excellence
- Leads by example, diligently implementing the shift plan and pursuing operational success.
- Ensures efficient and precise preparation and sale of products for prompt delivery, adhering to established speed of service guidelines.
- Motivates Team Members at various workstations throughout the shift.
- Analyzes restaurant performance metrics to identify areas of success and opportunities for improvement.
- Guarantees that the restaurant meets operational and brand standards consistently.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
- High School Diploma or GED is required; two years of college education is preferred.
- Possesses 1-2 years of prior experience in a quick-service restaurant environment.
- Demonstrates a solid understanding of guest service principles.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
- Ability to work long and/or irregular shifts as required for optimal restaurant operation.
