POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Hourly Shift Coordinator (HSC) serves as the Shift Leader at Burger King, dedicated to driving sales and profitability by enhancing guest satisfaction, managing staff, and optimizing operations. The HSC plays a crucial role in supporting the Restaurant General Manager (RGM) and Assistant Manager (AM) during designated shifts, focusing on achieving key performance metrics related to sales, profit margins, guest services, and team management. Under the guidance of the RGM, the HSC oversees a team of Crew Members and ensures the smooth running of daily operations.
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
PROFITABILITY
- Adheres to all cash management and security protocols (e.g., safe counting, monitoring cash drawers)
- Conducts daily and weekly inventory evaluations to maintain stock levels
- Handles receipt of inventory deliveries
GUEST EXPERIENCE
- Inspires and directs Team Members to deliver exceptional service, ensuring accuracy, speed, and cleanliness
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
- Provides constructive coaching and feedback to enhance Team Member skills and improve overall restaurant performance
OPERATIONS
- Demonstrates a strong work ethic, leading by example to implement the shift plan and achieve operational goals
- Ensures efficient and precise preparation and sale of products, adhering to speed of service standards
- Motivates Team Members across all workstations throughout the shift
- Analyzes restaurant performance metrics to highlight successes and identify improvement opportunities
- Guarantees compliance with operational and brand standards

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years old
- High School Diploma or GED is required; two years of college is preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in a quick-service restaurant setting
- Strong understanding of guest service principles
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to handle long and/or irregular shifts as necessary for effective restaurant operations
