As we embark on an ambitious expansion of our impact, we are seeking a skilled Human Resource Consultant to join our enthusiastic team. This role is pivotal for scaling our operations and involves the immediate recruitment of key national staff positions within a stringent timeline.
Given the urgency and complexity of these roles, along with the mandatory safeguarding and child protection standards, Street Child seeks to engage an experienced HR Recruitment Consultant (individual or firm) to oversee the entire recruitment process.
The primary objective of this engagement is to deliver professional, safeguarding-compliant, and swift recruitment services, ensuring the successful hiring of all listed positions while adhering strictly to our organizational policies, Nigerian labor laws, and donor requirements.
The Consultant will manage the recruitment process for the following positions: Project Manager, Safeguarding Manager, Senior Child Protection Officers, Senior M&E Officer, Senior GBV Officers, Senior CRM Officers, Security Officers, Finance Officer, Compliance Officer, Operations Assistant, and Enumerators.
The scope of work includes implementing a comprehensive Recruitment Plan that covers all five phases: Preparation & Advertisement, Application Collection & Logging, Screening & Shortlisting, Interviews & Assessments, and Verification, culminating in Final Selection & Offers. Specific responsibilities will encompass:
- Finalizing and approving all Job Descriptions/Person Specifications.
- Publishing job advertisements on various platforms including Workable, Relief Web, LinkedIn, and local job boards.
- Managing the application database and automating acknowledgments.
- Coordinating recruitment efforts effectively.
- Designing and administering technical assessments and scenario-based interviews.
- Conducting thorough safeguarding history screenings and child protection vetting for relevant roles.
- Performing reference checks and background verifications.
- Preparing ranked shortlists, interview notes, and final selection reports.
- Issuing offer letters and contracts.
- Providing progress reports and a comprehensive recruitment report, including gender/diversity metrics and lessons learned.
The Consultant is expected to achieve the following deliverables:
- Approved Job Descriptions, published advertisements, recruitment toolkit, and panel formation.
- A complete applicant database and shortlist for each position.
- All interview and assessment records, including score sheets and ranked lists.
- Reference and vetting reports.
