The HVAC Manager collaborates closely with the Operations Manager, Project Manager, and representatives from the United States Government. This role necessitates the establishment and maintenance of professional relationships with government officials, subcontractors, and facility tenants. As a first-line supervisor, the HVAC Manager is accountable for coordinating and overseeing the work of HVAC staff, assisting with administrative duties related to field operations, and providing technical guidance for the HVAC Shop in the maintenance and repair of heating, ventilation, refrigeration, and air conditioning systems at Naval Air Station Patuxent River.
Salary

Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prioritize, assign, supervise, review, and engage in the work of staff responsible for facility maintenance and repair.
- Identify materials, equipment, and supplies required for projects.
- Facilitate the transfer of equipment and personnel between projects as needed.
- Coordinate activities by scheduling work assignments and setting priorities for subordinate employees.
- Evaluate and confirm employee performance through the review of completed work assignments and methodologies.
- Monitor and control inventory of supplies and equipment, preparing procurement documents as necessary.
- Provide training or coordinate training sessions in facility maintenance and safety methods.
- Assist in preventative maintenance and quality control inspections for all facilities and equipment.
- Conduct monthly mileage and safety inspections on vehicles.
- Identify training needs for staff development and ensure that training is provided.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations for employee safety, including conducting safety briefs and occasional training sessions.
- Review and authorize purchase orders and other documents for procuring spare and replacement parts.
