About the Role:
As a Clinical Pharmacist at Montu, you will leverage your clinical knowledge to be an integral part of a multi-disciplinary healthcare team, focusing on medicines management, conducting structured remote consultations, and performing thorough medication reviews. You will play a pivotal role in overseeing transfer-of-care processes and in establishing systems that encourage safe and effective prescribing practices.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with both clinical and non-clinical professionals to ensure the secure prescribing and dispensing of cannabis-based medicinal products (CBMPs) to patients. This position is essential for enhancing the quality of care and operational efficiency and is ideal for a motivated, forward-thinking pharmacist who is eager to deliver outstanding service.
This full-time hybrid position requires working Monday to Friday, including one weekend per month on a rota basis. You will spend three days per week at our Winnersh office and will work remotely for the other two days.
Key Responsibilities:
Thoroughly check prescriptions for CBMPs.
Ensure timely availability of imported CBMPs for patients.
Adhere to regulations regarding the ordering, receiving, storing, and supplying of CBMPs.
Maintain accurate records in compliance with GPHC standards for CBMPs.
Provide patients with essential information and guidance for the safe use of CBMPs, including equipment advice.
Advise prescribers on the availability of CBMPs to prevent supply disruptions for patients.
Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure the safe supply of CBMPs, including importers and CDAO.
Maintain the security of CBMPs while fulfilling the role of Responsible Pharmacist.
Supervise pharmacy team members.
Conduct remote consultations with patients prescribed CBMPs, ensuring regular monitoring and follow-up.
