About the Role
We seek a proactive and detail-oriented In-House Accountant to bring our accounting operations in-house and establish a robust foundation that supports our high-growth startup. This role requires a candidate who can manage the monthly financial close and daily accounting functions while developing processes, policies, and controls that will scale alongside our business.
This pivotal position is central to our financial execution, collaborating closely with the CFO and cross-functional leaders to maintain accurate financial records, produce clean reports, and establish a reliable operating rhythm. As our first in-house accounting hire, you will be instrumental in crafting the accounting playbook from scratch, overseeing the transition from our fractional accounting team to an internal function. You will work directly with the CFO, gaining high visibility and ownership while enhancing systems and workflows and supporting ad-hoc analysis and light financial planning and analysis as needed.
If you are a hands-on accounting professional who thrives in dynamic settings and enjoys building frameworks from the ground up, this opportunity is for you.
Manage the full transition of accounting responsibilities from our fractional team to an in-house function, including developing a clear cutover plan, documentation, and training.
Oversee the monthly financial close process, including calendar management, journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
