We are seeking a skilled and dedicated In-House Employment Attorney to oversee all legal matters related to employment within our firm. This role will involve representing the firm in current and future employment litigation cases. The successful candidate will provide strategic legal advice to our HR team and business leaders on various employment and labor law issues, including but not limited to discrimination, wrongful termination, wage and hour disputes, and ADA/FMLA regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and manage litigation strategies and claims from inception to resolution, including effective management of discovery processes, budget oversight, and negotiations for pre-litigation settlements.
- Oversee and guide outside counsel in litigation matters, ensuring that the firm is protected against potential legal liabilities.
- Represent the firm before federal, state, and local regulatory bodies as necessary.
- Advise on a wide range of labor and employment issues, including wage and hour laws, employee relations, and internal investigations, ensuring compliance with employment regulations.
- Provide insights and support to management and HR on evolving HR practices and employment law developments.
- Conduct training sessions on critical employment law topics to enhance compliance and awareness among staff.
- Research and implement best practices for employment law compliance.
- Proactively advise on workplace issues to mitigate risks.
- Lead initiatives to educate employees on employment best practices and corporate policies.
