Dane Street is excited to announce the expansion of our esteemed physician panel! This position offers a unique telework opportunity for board-certified orthopedic surgeons seeking supplemental income. You will have the flexibility to manage a caseload tailored to your availability while providing essential Independent Medical Exams (IMEs) across New York State.
Ideal candidates will possess an active New York medical license and be Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery, with demonstrated experience in performing IMEs. Additionally, New York State Workers' Compensation certification is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Thoroughly review medical records, addressing all inquiries from clients using specific client criteria or recognized evidence-based guidelines.
- Clearly articulate the rationale for determinations, ensuring documentation adequately supports decisions.
- Utilize current clinical criteria and literature to inform objective decision-making, avoiding reliance on case studies due to their limited scope.
- Timely provide copies of any criteria referenced in your reviews.
- Meet all deadlines for case returns and make necessary follow-up calls as required by state or client guidelines.
- Maintain current credentials, licenses, and any additional certifications necessary for your role.
- Participate in all required training and orientation sessions.
- Address quality assurance issues and respond to client feedback as needed, including participation in court appearances or audits.
