About the job
About Our Team
At OpenAI, our Finance team plays a vital role in aligning our organizational strategies with our mission-driven objectives.
Our Tax and Trade team is integral to OpenAI’s global expansion, influencing how innovative AI products, partnerships, and infrastructure thrive across different jurisdictions while expertly navigating complex tax and regulatory landscapes. We are strategic players, not merely compliance professionals, engaging early in product development, finance, policy, and infrastructure discussions to mitigate risks, maximize incentives, and facilitate responsible and competitive growth worldwide.
As OpenAI’s offerings and monetization strategies evolve, our tax compliance frameworks must grow with the same precision and reliability as our product designs. The team collaborates closely with Financial Engineering, Product Engineering, and Finance Systems to establish a modern tax technology framework that allows accurate, real-time tax assessments across OpenAI’s global operations.
