About the Role:
As an Indirect Tax Manager, you will have the unique opportunity to work with Agoda Services Co. Ltd, reporting directly to the Indirect Tax lead. You will oversee all indirect tax matters (VAT/GST, sales & use tax, digital services tax, withholding-type transaction taxes where applicable) related to our payments, wallets, and fintech products on a global scale. You will be an integral part of our extensive Tax and Finance team, collaborating closely with Product and Legal teams.
The primary focus of this position is to manage all fintech advisory matters concerning VAT, sales tax, GST, and other indirect taxes for Agoda, ensuring compliance with tax regulations worldwide. You will take full ownership of your projects, from identifying challenges (including budgeting) to executing and implementing solutions, while managing stakeholder relationships with our tax advisors. This role is hands-on, yet you will also contribute to the long-term vision of the tax team by sharing your technical expertise to foster team growth.
This role requires interaction with our Senior Leadership Team, the US parent company, international offices, business managers, functional teams, IT, and other finance and legal colleagues. Given the rapid growth of our organization, the responsibilities associated with this role may also evolve over time. You should be eager to develop and grow within the position, taking on additional challenges and responsibilities as they arise.
