We are currently seeking a qualified Instructor of Digital Acquisitions to join our team and support the Air Force Institute of Technology School of Systems & Logistics (AFIT/LS) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, OH.
AFIT/LS stands as the Air Force's sole provider of Professional Continuing Education (PCE) courses in Acquisition, Logistics, and Software Engineering. With a portfolio of over 100 courses and seminars, the school is dedicated to planning, developing, and delivering educational programs that meet the technical management training needs of Logistics, Systems, and Acquisition professionals from the Air Force, Department of Defense, and other federal agencies. Each year, AFIT/LS educates more than 20,000 students.
The school provides Air Force courses ranging from two days to five weeks in the areas of Acquisition Management, Engineering Management, and Sustainment. Additionally, it is a leader in web-based education for the Acquisition and Logistics Workforce, equipping professionals with the tools and skills necessary to manage the entire systems life cycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and delivery of Professional Continuing Education (PCE) courses that educate and train Joint service personnel (active duty, Reservists, National Guard), Officers, Enlisted members, and Civilians on the tactical, strategic, and operational aspects of AF/DoD Digital Acquisitions.
- Collaborate with course sponsors, Subject Matter Experts, and Instructional Systems Designers to assess educational needs, develop, maintain, and effectively instruct course content. All curricula are approved by course leadership to ensure they foster understanding and engagement in line with educational standards.
- Coordinate course offerings, maintain documentation in compliance with Air Force and AFIT policies, and conduct post-offering assessments.
- Deliver instruction across various approved educational platforms and settings, including traditional in-residence/on-site classrooms and distance learning services.
