Your Role
As an Instrumentation & Test Engineer, you will take charge of designing, implementing, and validating physical measurement systems within our specialized industrial testing laboratory.
Your primary mission will be to guarantee that sensor data from machinery is not only physically valid and accurate but also statistically reliable for advanced analytics and AI model development. This encompasses instrumentation on various equipment, including motors, gearmotors, compressors, fans, centrifugal pumps, and custom test benches.
You will spearhead the Design of Experiments (DoE), defining measurement strategies rather than merely collecting data. Collaboration with mechanical, automation, and data science teams will be key as you establish acquisition strategies, select suitable sensors, and configure data acquisition systems utilizing platforms such as HBK (HBM), Dewesoft, Siemens, and NI (National Instruments).
Your contributions will directly enhance the quality of the physics-based datasets essential for training our AI models. Although your primary focus will be on instrumentation, signal analysis, and electrical integration, you will also provide support for mechanical setups, ensuring that testing environments are consistent and primed for data acquisition.
Note: This position emphasizes hardware expertise and physical instrumentation within a laboratory context, making it ideally suited for Electrical/Mechatronics Engineers or Physicists, rather than traditional IT/Data Engineering roles.
