In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with our cohesive IoT solutions team in a modern agile environment, leading the enhancement of our sourcing and procurement functions to ensure seamless and reliable operations. The position is hybrid, allowing for a combination of remote and in-office work, based out of our Headquarters in Indianapolis, IN (specifically Carmel, IN) or our Innovation Center in Appleton, WI, reporting directly to the Director of Things Engineering.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Management
- Identify, assess, and onboard suppliers for electronic components and contract manufacturers, collaborating with Quality and Operations for vendor qualification and setup.
- Negotiate contracts to secure advantageous pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
- Review and manage customer supplier agreements, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Nurture strategic relationships with key suppliers to guarantee reliability and quality.
- Conduct regular market analysis to uncover opportunities and address constraints and risks within sourcing pipelines and strategies, communicating insights to relevant internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead strategic initiatives and operational procedures regarding shipping logistics, with a focus on international logistics and tariff considerations.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including leadership and project teams.
- Assist in creating or refining procedures related to inventory tracking and supply chain processes to enhance efficiency and consistency across teams.
- Oversee end-to-end supply chain activities supporting IoT hardware programs from prototype development through to production.
Procurement Management
- Direct procurement activities, encompassing the generation and tracking of purchase orders, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment.
