Join Terrier Transportation Inc. as an Intermodal/FTL Dispatch and Customer Service Specialist, where you will play a crucial role in managing daily load planning and executing logistics for LTL, Rail (Intermodal), and Truck (FTL) freight operations. You will collaborate with various teams to enhance operational efficiencies and ensure timely deliveries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records of freight, including destination, weight, and charges, while verifying automated rate charges.
- Coordinate all aspects of load planning and freight movement processes.
- Utilize data entry software such as VIntermodal to verify information and prepare documentation.
- Resolve discrepancies and ensure data accuracy by reviewing information from various departments and clients.
- Request and verify completeness of documents, correcting errors before data entry.
- Accurately input information from electronic submissions and hand-written documents into the system.
- Conduct thorough checks for errors or duplicates before finalizing submissions.
- Access and manage online systems as per client requirements and associated business needs.
- Complete data entry tasks within established timelines.
- Scan and input relevant documents into the VIntermodal database prior to cargo/container arrival.
- Assist with documentation and data collection for departmental audits as needed.
- Coordinate with Safety and Dispatch departments, maintaining knowledge of logistical operations, shipment setups, and delivery expectations.
- Track and manage chassis usage days for import and export operations.
