Key Responsibilities
1. Leadership & Strategy
- Act as the principal representative of the Internal Audit function in India, serving as the main contact for country management.
- Work closely with the Asia Head of Internal Audit to formulate and implement effective audit strategies tailored for the Indian market.
2. Risk Assessment & Audit Planning
- Collaborate with Country Management, Platforms, and Functions to identify and evaluate significant risks and controls.
- Contribute to the development of a thorough, risk-based internal audit plan that aligns with organizational goals.
3. Audit Execution
- Lead and engage in various internal audit initiatives, including:
- Audits of trading desks
- Asset audits
- Fraud investigations
- Special projects as required
- Conduct process walkthroughs and perform comprehensive data-driven analyses of business operations and controls.
- Identify areas for improvement, achieve consensus on root causes, and propose actionable solutions while fostering strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Provide advisory support and oversee the progress of remediation efforts.
4. Continuous Audits & Control Initiatives
- Engage in ongoing audits and initiatives aimed at enhancing internal controls.
- Discover and coordinate opportunities for automation, including rules-based assessments and machine learning-driven controls.
5. Departmental Improvement Initiatives
- Assist in the formulation of internal audit methodologies and support cross-functional, global projects designed to boost audit effectiveness.
