As our inaugural IT Automation Engineer, you'll become a vital member of our Full Stack Software team at our Carson, CA office, where you'll enhance our IT infrastructure and operations. In this pivotal role, you will design and implement automation solutions that reduce repetitive manual tasks, oversee cloud and on-premise systems, and guarantee the reliability of our secure environments. Collaborating with DevOps, QA, and Customer Success teams, you will provide swift and dependable IT support while developing tools and processes that enhance long-term efficiency. This is a high-impact opportunity to influence how automation benefits both our internal teams and customers as we continue to expand.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain internal IT and automation systems.
Develop programs to automate repetitive tasks such as data transfers, testing, deployments, and IT workflows (e.g., account provisioning, password resets, software installations, patching).
Configure and provision computers for both customer and internal deployment, while creating lightweight automation tools to minimize manual updates at client sites.
Automate cloud resource management (AWS, Azure, GCP) for server setups, storage management, and application scaling.
Ensure disaster recovery and backup processes are executed on schedule without manual intervention.
Configure and maintain specialized systems including activation machines, license servers, and network-attached storage solutions to support engineering development.
Implement security automation for patch management, intrusion detection, and access control.
Enforce cybersecurity and compliance standards (SOC 2, ISO 27001, export controls) through automated policies and audits.
