POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Operations & Support Automation Team is pivotal in providing a competitive edge for our clients and their customers through the development and management of automated processes. These processes are essential for deploying and managing top-tier cloud and on-premise infrastructure and applications.
As the IT Automation Manager, you will lead a talented team of specialists focused on delivering and maintaining exceptional automated IaaS and PaaS provisioning, configuration management, CI/CD pipelines, and related services in both cloud and on-premise environments.
Your role will involve assessing the needs of internal customers and implementing effective solutions that enhance environmental stability while minimizing implementation time and friction.
Collaboration is key; you will work closely with teams from Operations, Engineering, Development, Support, and business units to create a continuous feedback loop that guarantees value delivery aligned with company objectives. You will also promote a DevOps culture within Operations & Support and among our development and support partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the Center of Excellence for DevOps practices within Operations & Support.
- Lead the design and implementation of strategies for migrating on-premise applications and infrastructure to AWS.
- Develop and maintain user interfaces and backend code for infrastructure provisioning in both cloud and on-premise settings.
- Create and sustain automated Configuration Management and Auditing processes using Ansible Playbooks, advising infrastructure teams during playbook development.
- Collaborate with development teams to refine CI/CD and Automated Deployment processes, including the transition of legacy applications to automated frameworks.
- Manage and administer the DevOps toolset; monitor the landscape of DevOps tools and best practices to identify relevant opportunities for our clients.
- Oversee the governance framework for Automation Team processes.
