The Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) is at the forefront of the United States Air Force’s innovation initiatives, focusing on basic, exploratory, and advanced research programs. Delaware Nation Industries proudly provides essential organizational support to the AFRL at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, OH, ensuring an effective Information Management structure that promotes the timely deployment and optimal operation of Information Systems crucial to the AFRL mission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee inventory control of Information Technology (IT) equipment, ensuring adherence to regulations during issuance and disposal.
- Maintain accurate records of IT equipment within the internal database.
- Support the IT Asset Management (ITAM) inventory, facilitating proper disposal of outdated equipment in compliance with Air Force and Department of Defense (DoD) guidelines.
- Assist new users in acquiring IT equipment.
- Issue receipts to users assigned IT equipment to establish accountability.
- Label IT equipment according to established Air Force guidelines.
- Relocate IT hardware for existing users, ensuring connectivity at new locations.
- Recover unused IT equipment from unoccupied desks and transport it to designated storage areas.
- Transport IT hardware between storage locations as required.
- Replace consumables for printers, including toner and fusers.
- Enter and resolve help request tickets using the internal management system.
- Comply with all relevant DoD, AF, and WPAFB regulations and guidelines, particularly those related to ITAM and IT equipment handling.
Qualifications:
- Basic skills in computer hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of printer and multifunction device operation and troubleshooting.
- Proficient in accurate database entry.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Outlook.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds unassisted regularly.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
- Strong listening abilities.
- Self-motivated with the capacity to work independently as well as part of a team.
Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience supporting PC computing systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Possession of and ability to maintain a DoD Secret level clearance is required.
